View Full Version : [Good] ZooMed Warranty Replacement

ZooMed isn't really a 'vendor' we buy from, but we do buy their products. I want to make a small thing about their warranty replacement.

I purchased a heat mat (30-40 gallon one) in August and it recently started overheating and was even bending off the tank. I sent them an email, got a response back within a day. They told me to mail it in with a receipt and what was wrong, they'd replace it.

So $3.00 (or less I forget) to ship it, and a week to wait, DHL shows up. I expected a heat mat that was opened, not a brand new one (in wrapper and everything), sent with DHL Ground.

Now I'm impressed. It took a week to get a replacement, it was sent with DHL (faster than USPS), and it was new.

So if you buy ZooMed products, keep the receipts, that way if there is an issue, you can have it sent out for warranty. It's a 1 year warranty on most products as well.

ZooMed is also honoring any returns for the compact Reptisun 5.0 and 10.0 UVB sources...even if your reptile is showing no signs of eye injury. They know they have made a faulty product and are trying to rectify it. In the meantime they will take return. As far as I know this issue has not been resolved yet, but their product is still on the market. I really don't think a receipt is needed for these because it was such an after purchase medical issue most people had long since thrown receipts away.
