I was wondering if anyone has used phoenix worms before I ordered 400 of them to feed our two leo geckos and our bearded along with 1000 crickets I just was wondering if anyone had any input on them. Thanks

They're pretty gross...remind me of maggots, but the chams loved them. They're just the right size for leos. The beardies (depending how big they are) will see them as nibblets... ;D

I got the large ones Like 3/4" long so should I just use them for the leos?

3/4" maybe fine for the leos... these things are pretty squishy. I've not had leos before so I don't know how that size would work with them. I had medium phoenix worms with the chams having about the same size eye width as a grown leo and they did fine...so I bet the large would be ok.

My leo's are grown so i don't see it as a problem and I heard they are the best feeders nutrition and calcium wise.

They're so cute! Phoenix worms and silkworms are where it's at as far as nutritional values go. I guess I'll be ordering some more, too... ;D.

Phoenix worms ARE maggots. They are fly larvae (black soldier fly to be exact). Don't let the pretty name fool ya. They are what you think they are :P.

Thanks Cheaton - I think. There was a reason I didn't look that up myself... :P :D And now we know the rest of the story...lol.

I have that tree! My 3 love climbing on it too.
I use phoenix worms for the cresteds and the bearded (as he is 3 months or so). I purchased the small ones though, they are squishy, and weird, but the they love them. My leos won't touch them though, they aren't interested in something that isn't moving much.

That tree is alwsome it was for the bay retics at first but since I am taking a break this season to build my snake collection up it went to the geckos and they love it so there it will stay!
That second pic of the leo is awsome. What a beauty!
