Is there a problem with the system or is it my puter. I'm havin' some serious lag time trying to get from one place to another. It takes a minute or two from clickin' on someplace and gettin' there. I've got cable. Also, when I was able to read a couple posts and tried to reply to them, I noticed the reply button is gone. Please don't tell me this is all just a hallucination ;D

No it's not you it the server. I don't know which web host to use anymore. All of them have negative feedback of some sort and I'm tired of playing games with the tech support. They say it works fine and I tell them it's lagging or down. They guarantee 99.9% uptime and I haven't gotten anything close to that. I know how frustrating it is to visit a slow site. Hang in there and if it doesn't get better I'm looking into other options.

I'll find out after I get home. I don't have issues with it here at work...but I can't see pics and that's driving me nuts, too!! unless their imbedded in the post via the site itself...I'm not going to see them...and there are pics I've been wanting to see since Sunday!!! >:(

Glad it's working for you all now. I still notice it being slow every now and then. What frustrates me is that they email me saying the server was under a DoS (denial of service) attack, ask for a traceroute if I'm experiencing anymore issues, and then tell me that it's my ISP's problem. Yeah sure because the site isn't working for anyone.
Anyway I'm waiting for the domain transfer to go through to GoDaddy. Once that happens I can decide whether to stay with LunarPages or move it somewhere else. I can't stand crap technical support.

It's only working for me here at work. We have a broadband service here. I have always had a little trouble from my home system...just nothing like I've experienced over the last couple of aggravating days.

You try using one of those proxy sites? http://proxy.org/
Otherwise I'll look into enabling the attachment feature. The downside is that they only show at the bottom of the post and not where you place them. Plus you have to resize the picture before attaching so it is under the size limit. I'm not sure if everyone can do that and if they don't use the attachment feature that won't do you any good.

I know how aggravating it is to not have the site come up and it makes me not want to use it. However please hang in there as I will get this resolved ASAP.

Don't change anything. It all works just fine... ;D.
Another guy here at work has said something about a proxy server so I had looked into it briefly...and I do plan on using one. I just didn't know where a good place to go for a good server was. I give that link a try. Thanks!
And I KNOW none of this is your fault. You do a fantastic job with this forum!!

*chuckles* I should have known the filters would catch that site.

I'll just have to go from home and get it placed on my jump drive...which is also where Firefox is. I love the U3 jump drives!

O.K...Now I can get onto the site and read the posts, but it took me 7 times to be able to reply. I know it's partly due to my dial-up...but dammit!

Hmm I haven't had that problem. When you click on reply the page just won't come up?

This is a very come and go thing. I was just emailing Guig to answer you and I gave it one more try and finally got into the section of the forum...let alone reply. I get a time out page. That's what it always is. Sometimes the time-out warning is pretty immediate and sometimes it might take 3 minutes before giving me that page.

I don't want to jinx anything here so I won't mention how well everything has been going since the board has been back up... ;D

Good to hear. They changed the server to a new IP address to avoid the attacks. I'm still going to move it to another host as taking 5 days to resolve a problem is unacceptable. I'm working on negotiating a refund for the rest of the year contract.

They may have been dealing with a pretty high volume of trouble tickets, I'm sure...but it's still no excuse for not sending at least a blanket email for updates to admins.

They sent me emails only after I emailed them. The part that bothered me is the emails kept saying we resolved the issue. I would email them again and let them know it still wasn't working and they would tell me well your site comes up here.

Doesn't sound very supportive... :-\. Well...we're looking forward to the change. We know there will be good tech support there!
