Congrats that is a great picture
Thanks!
We really enjoy this one. ;D. Since you folks pick this beauty out of a group of stunning animals, here's a little history and a few more of my favorite pics of this snake. Hope you enjoy.
The baby picture, this is day one, July 4, 2006. Captured in north central Arizona in late June 06.

Sandy has always been a very calm little pitviper. Rarely rattles at all. Very easy to care for with the propper safety precautions.
In the above pic the pinky mouse gives you an idea of how small this snake was. Here Sandy is about 16 inches at about 1.5 yrs.

I love the way he/she hunkers down in the sand in ambush position. The preparations the snake does is fun to watch.
These pics are from April of this year. Sandy is current at about 21-22 inches at 3 years old. Macks on very small rats. 1-2 times per month March to November.

Last but MOST important of all with any venomous snake is SAFTEY!

This little pitviper is very cute but can send you to the ER in a LOT of pain. DO NOT freehand these snakes! NO FLESH IN THE STRIKE ZONE!

No sir, I have never even had a close call. I don't touch them at all. Please refer to the equipment photo above. No flesh in the strike zone is a rule I do not violate, ever.

Sorry if I came across as sarcastic, the congrats was for the photo of the month win. Also what is the cd in the equipment photo? I can't make it out and now curiosity is killing me.

No worries man, was not taken that way. Have a habit getting very serious about these snakes. No room for errors sir. The CD is Accept-Death row. some great German metal.
