Karma just got back from the vet about an hour ago. She will be on a month-long course of antibiotics and painkillers. I wanted to share with you all what an RI/Mouthrot combo looks like, exactly.

You can see the bubbling inside the mouth here, plus several months worth of retained shed.

and the rot/abcess on the top of the mouth here

gumline is eroded and the nostrils are nonexistent.

She'll be going back to SEAVS for a follow-up next month. I think she's going to be ok.

I'm surprised she'd eat at all in that condition. Best of luck with her.

:'( The top edges of her mouth are gone. She'll be fine with the meds and some TLC, but it's going to take real dedication to get her there. Poor girl.

I am so glad that she was able to get the help we desperately wanted for her finally. Poor girl, despite our obvious misunderstandings we set out to do the right thing when we got her. Honestly we were not prepared or had the resources but were trying to do the right thing when we adopted her. Knowing nothing about mouth rot we assumed we were being told the truth and were waiting for her to improve. When we saw that she was not sought someone who could offer it. Thank you.

All is good. I apologize to the forum for the ugliness.

Wow that looks horrible. Glad she got in the hands of someone who will finally take care of her.
Make sure that you post some update pics on her recovery.
I have a big female that has nostrils gone too. She was abandoned and found in a duffel bag and was almost dead when found. She was so skinny that you could count her rib bones. After 1 1/2yrs she is doing great. Only problem she shows is that she is a slow eater due to the fact that she cant breathe as well, so I just give her rats that are a little smaller.

Thats really sad ... but at least the snake is now in the hands of someone that cares and has the knowledge and time to take care of it properly.
When I see ugly pics like this it makes me mad .. I wish there was a way to mark someone that does not take care of animals correctly so situations like this wouldn't happen again. I just pray the person that did this to this snake does not have children.
